The St. Paul
Education Center Kindergarten provides a warm-welcoming
environment for a child to grow in a Christ centered
environment. The classroom atmosphere is full of different
approaches to learning designed to meet all learning styles.
The students will be learning basic Phonetic and Science
skills. Every day is full of different activities in Reading
(pre-reading skills, the Alphabet), Mathematical Readiness
(ex. numbers, sorting, graphing, and patterning), and
Religion. The students will be learning these and other new
concepts by a hands-on approach using manipulatives in
rotating centers (i.e. counting bears, pattern blocks,
alphabet stamping), as well as workbook or textbook use in
whole or small group settings. We also focus on different
themes throughout the school year, such as dinosaurs, space
and butterflies.
In our Kindergarten classroom, each new day opens the door
for new learning, and stresses the importance of learning by
using all of the multiple intelligences.

Suzanne Register
Kindergarten teacher
My name is Suzy Register, and I am the new Kindergarten
teacher at St. Paul Education Center. I was born and
raised in New Bern, and love to call this beautiful city
home. I have been happily married for eight years, and
have two loving daughters, ages six and two. I enjoy
spending time with my family and surfing the Internet. I
am also a big Maryland fan, and love to read and listen
to music.
After I received my degree from East Carolina
University, I have taught Kindergarten, First and Second
grades. I love the "little kids" because I know they
need comfort and nurturing during their transition from
home to school and I want them to truly enjoy their
school experience. I love to have fun!Email:
