Our Fourth
Grade classroom reflects a vital and secure environment that
actively pursues learning. We work in peer groups to
identify and accomplish our core curriculum projects and at
faith-based approach to all that we do.
The Grade Four curriculum reflects a strong emphasis and
hands-on approach to the communication arts. We believe that
this approach to Reading, English, and Writing will make
life-long learners. Our students are invited to write
journal stores. The students study the regions of the U.S.A
and North Carolina History.

Melanie Murphy
Fourth Grade teacher
I look forward to teaching Fourth Grade this school year
at S.P.E.C. My name is Melanie Murphy. I hold a Bachelor
of Arts degree from Valdosta State University in
Georgia, and a Master's degree in Elementary Education
from The College of St. Rose in New York.
I have taught elementary school in Marietta, GA and in
Beaufort, SC. My husband and I have three children,
Shane, Patrick and Brantley, who will be attending St.
Paul's this year. We are an active duty military family
and recently moved here from Jacksonville, FL. We enjoy
spending time outdoors, especially visiting the beach! I
love to read and run. I am excited to be here, and look
forward to meeting all of you.
